This weekend's edition of "Minn Għajnejn Barranin" (Malta Through Foreign Eyes), on Campus 103.7, is to feature world-renowned WW2 Historian James Holland, who has had a close relationship with Malta for over 20 years. The programme will be broadcast at 15:00 on Saturday 16 August, and will be repeated the next day at 13:00.
Holland's first publication was the book "Fortress Malta - An Island Under Siege 1940-43", an international best-seller that launched his career as a historian. Since its first publication in 2003, he has gone on to publish over 20 books about aspects of the Second World War, his latest being a collaboration with his podcast partner Al Murray called "Victory 45: The End of the War in Eight Surrenders".
Colin Fitz will discuss the author's close relationship with these islands, as well as elements of the Battle of Malta and other topics related to his research, including the current trend of amateur revisionism plaguing discussions about WW2.
Holland will also answer questions about his recent success in podcasts and online series, following two decades of regular appearances on television documentaries on the BBC, Discovery and History Channels.
This episode will eventually be uploaded to the Campus 103.7's 'On Demand' section of the station's website.
