The Chamber of Advocates’ Company Law Conference Returns After 2 Years
  The Chamber of Advocates through its Malta Law Academy Foundation and in conjunction with the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Malta will be hosting the annual Company Law Conference.
  
This year's theme is 'Recent Issues, Challenges, and New Directions in Company Law' and the event will be held on Wednesday 17 November at the University of Malta Valletta Campus between 13.00 and 17.00.

  Dr Louise de Gabriele, President of the Chamber of Advocates – Opening Address
  Dr David Fabri will deliver an in-depth review of the developments in Company Law over the past two years.
  Judge Emeritus Dr Joseph Zammit McKeon – “Rethinking Aspects of the Companies Act: Certainty as opposed to Reluctance and/or Uncertainty”
  Dr Stefan Berry, Council President of the Malta Association of Compliance Officers – “Company Compliance from a Practitioner’s Perspective”
  Dr Geraldine Spiteri Lucas, Registrar of Companies, Malta Business Registry – “Beneficial Ownership of Companies and the MBR’s Supervisory Role”
  A round-table discussion moderated by Dr Kris Borg from the University’s Faculty of Laws will address the Future of Company Law. Round-table participants will include:

  Registrations are now open and booking and payment in advance are required by email to events@avukati.org. The participation fee for Chamber members is EUR 50 per person, whilst non-members pay EUR 60.
  In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, all participants must be fully vaccinated and will have their vaccination certificate scanned prior to entering the conference hall.
