The talks will be delivered by Professor Arjen Kleinherenbrink from Radboud University, Nijmegen (Netherlands) on the topics of contemporary philosophy. The first three talks will deal with the philosophy of Giles Deleuze, Bruno Latour, and Graham Harman respectively, while the last one shall discuss the nature of the contemporary continental turn to metaphysics more generally.
The talks will be held as follows (see poster below):
- Wednesday 12 October 18.00-20.00: Giles Deleuze and the Metaphysics of Machines
- Monday 17 October 18.00-20.00: Bruno Latour and the Philosophy of Actors
- Wednesday 19 October 18.00-20.00: Graham Harman and the Ontology of Objects
- Monday 24 October 18.00-20.00: On Contemporary Continental Metaphysics
We strongly encourage you to attend these talks as the work of these thinkers has been greatly influential in a number of academic disciplines and should therefore be of great interest to the general educated public wishing to consolidate their philosophical knowledge or learn more about the current trends in European philosophy.
Any further queries on these talks can be addressed to Prof Claude Mangion and/or Dr Niki Young.
