The Annual Pharmacy Symposium organized by the Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery is this year being held at the Central Auditorium, Medical School at Mater Dei Hospital between 6 and 10 March 2023.
During the symposium the final year Doctorate in pharmacy students will be presenting their dissertations. Research areas include assessment of and sustainability of pharmaceutical care services, medical devices patient safety and access to medicinal products. Final year pharmacy students completing their Master of Pharmacy degree and students in their final year of the courses leading to the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Pharmaceutical Technology degree and the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Sciences degree also present their research work.
Second, third and fourth year pharmacy students present their work-in-progress projects as posters and poster discussion. Students present projects and dissertations undertaken in the fields of interest of the department namely Pharmaceutical Care, Pharmacotherapy, Social and Administrative Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology and Computational Chemistry. The symposium is an opportunity for students, staff and collaborators of the department of pharmacy to meet, network and discuss research programmes.
