The first HUMS Symposium for this academic year will focus on the topic of intelligence: Intelligence: Quo Vadis?
This will give us an opportunity to discuss issues related to human and artificial intelligence. Four speakers from UM Faculties will approach the topic from different angles and, as always, the audience is invited to join in discussion after each brief talk:

Dr Claudia Borg - Faculty of ICT - Machine Translation in Maltese: Quo Vadis?
Prof. John Abela - Faculty of ICT - Machine Sentience
Prof. Richard Muscat - Faculty of Medicine and Surgery - Human Intelligence
The event is followed by a light reception which will enable discussion to continue in a more social and informal manner.
