As part of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence, the Department of Gender and Sexualities will be screening the Maltese production Merjen followed by a panel discussion.
Merjen tells the story of two childhood friends, who grow up to become lovers - a morbid relationship rooted in visceral sexual attraction, which quickly spirals into the dark realm of domestic abuse, femicide and murder.
The film is rated 18+ and includes violence, explicit sexual content and language.
