Event: Campus Book Festival 2024

The official programme of the Campus Book Festival 2024, taking place between Wednesday 20 and Friday 22 March 2024, has been unveiled by the National Book Council.
A number of UM academics will either be moderating panels or participating in a number of talks.
from the Department of English will be moderating a Roundtable Discussion on Becoming a Children鈥檚 Book Illustrator.
from the will be leading a discussion about The 1749 Slaves Plot: From Archival Research to the National Book Prize with the Malta University Historical Society.
from the will be co-hosting a DESA Book Club zeroing in on the book Home Fire, by Kamila Shamsie.
from the Department of Maltese will be leading a discussion about English loanwords in Maltese.

For this year鈥檚 edition, Irish illustrator Karen Harte will be participating in two events at the festival.
The festival is also made possible through the enthusiastic and fruitful collaboration between the NBC and student organisations and departments from both the University of Malta and MCAST.
The publishers taking part in the festival include Faraxa Publishing, L-G魔aqda tal-Malti, SKS Publishers, Ede Books/Kixott, Midsea Books/Klabb Kotba Maltin, Kite Group, Malta University Press, Horizons, Malta University Distributors and Kotba Calleja.
