This seminar will explore the theory and practice of palliative and end of life care and their application to critical care settings.
This seminar is hosted by the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Malta.

- An introduction to palliative care in the critical care setting
 - Experiences of the death of a loved one in the critical setting
 - Nurses’ and Doctors’ perceptions of palliative care delivery in local critical care settings
 - Death and dying: In search of the good death
 - Healthcare professionals and the burden of care
 
The focus of this seminar is on the application of palliative care in a critical care context and whilst this is of particular relevance to healthcare professionals working in palliative and critical settings, all interested healthcare professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend.
