Abstract:
We formally introduce the concept of Conscious Finance: a new framework that fully integrates systems thinking into financial decision-making. Conscious Finance explicitly treats the three dimensions of Finance —Space, Time, and Emotion— under a unified integrative framework that opens new pathways for sustainable markets and economies. Drawing from interdisciplinary research spanning mindfulness research, neuroeconomics, behavioural finance, indigenous mental representations of systems, and contemporary sustainable finance, we offer an expanded view of finance with examples of practices that can be implemented in asset management.
