The Junior College is pleased to participate in the initiative organised by the Office of the Pro-Rector for Strategic Planning and Sustainability. As part of this campaign, members of the University of Malta community are invited to donate clean, reusable summer clothing, which will be sold at INSPIRE Charity Shops in support of their work. This effort is also being supported by the JC Environmental Committee, reflecting our ongoing commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. 

Donations will be collected from 19–23 May 2025 in designated boxes located on the red carpet area of the Junior College Foyer. We encourage you to take this opportunity to sort through your wardrobes and closets for summer garments that are in good condition but no longer in use, and help extend their life through this meaningful cause. 

Reusing clothing offers significant environmental benefits. The fashion industry is a major contributor to pollution, but choosing to extend the life of garments can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lower wastewater production, and minimize the need for excessive textile cultivation. It also decreases the use of harmful chemicals and fertilizers involved in fabric processing. By making more sustainable clothing choices and extending their life, we can protect natural resources and support the health of our planet.
