A poem by is currently featuring at the Brussels-based TRANSPOESIE poetry festival. The TRANSPOESIE poetry festival is being organised for the tenth consecutive year by EUNIC Brussels, the European Union National Institutes for Culture based in the Belgian capital. Titled ‘Insa li M’hijiex Hawn’, Bugeja’s featured poem is available in both the original Maltese version as well as in a Dutch translation by Nil Ramos and a French translation from Irene Mangion. The poem, together with a reading of the poem by the author, can be accessed . For 10 years TRANSPOESIE has celebrated language diversity, inspired by the European Day of Languages marked on the 26th of September every year. This year’s edition includes poets from 26 countries and regions, sharing poetry in their native languages internationally, with translations in French, English, and Dutch. In Brussels, selected poems will be featured on favourite routes around town, with the poster campaign in public transport having started on September 15. This year, the festival’s reading events will go virtual – sharing European poetry to audiences around the world and starting the festival opening event on 23 September.For its 10th birthday TRANSPOESIE will partner up with the European Poetry Platform .
