This event included a conference together with parallel scientific workshops and lectures.
Expert discussion revolved around (i) issues and challenges in ocean governance, (ii) emerging science of ocean acidification impacts in the coastal oceans, and (iii) negotiating the conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity in the high seas.
These events also framed the official scientific programme comprising workshops and meetings of working groups of the COST Action OceanGov, with a focus on finalizing a number of joint research publications on the main six core themes of OceanGov: Land-Sea Interaction, Area-Based Management, Seabed Resource Management, Ocean, Climate Change and Ocean Acidification, and Fisheries Management.
