The
of the University of Malta,
launched a fundraising campaign towards medical research in areas primarily
affecting children, in collaboration with Piscopo Gardens and Pet Shop.
Through the RIDT’s Superhero Campaign, Piscopo Gardens are asking customers to donate €1, €2 or €5 towards the University’s research campaign at checkout, and as a company they will match each donation.
Vinny Piscopo, the businesswoman who loves nature and life is behind this wonderful enterprise supporting the research campaign.
“I love the idea that as Piscopo Gardens, we can actually help during such times. Research is vital in finding a cure for ongoing battles which unfortunately many have to face,” says Ms Piscopo. “Children are our future, if we can protect them and make them live a better life, then, I believe we are doing something right while we are on this planet.”
"The Superhero Campaign was first launched in 2019 with a group of restaurants, and it was an immediate success. Unfortunately we had to suspend it due to the onset of Covid-19, and we have now re-launched it with Piscopo Gardens. It is a very effective way for people to make their small contribution towards research. We cannot thank Piscopo Gardens enough for agreeing to run this campaign with us, and for their contribution, which will be equal to what their customers make'."
The campaign is happening at a time when the search for quality of life and wellbeing is at the forefront, as the world is increasingly aware of the crucial value of research to cure disease.
