The annual award presented to the student who attains the highest marks in the final qualifications in Medicine was given to Dr Katya Azzopardi.
The BOV Prize in Medicine, now in its 16th edition, was jointly established by Bank of Valletta and the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and it awards a commemorative certificate and cash prize to the student who obtains top marks from a written paper, a clinical hands-on exam and an exam in essential core competencies which assess students on various skills.
BOV’s Executive for CSR & Communications, Mr Charles Azzopardi, presented the prize to Dr Azzopardi together with Prof. Stephen Montefort, Head of the Department of Medicine and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
“Student life has become more challenging to cope with, and this gesture continues to motivate students to aim for splendid results in their studies”, said Prof. Montefort.
Congratulations to Dr Azzopardi on her academic performance.
