The University of the Third Age (U3A) will be soon accepting applications from older persons (60 years and over) interested in attending the 2021-2022 academic programme.
Lectures in our seven centres will be held as follows:
Mondays to Thursdays from 09:00-11:00 at the Floriana U3A Centre, 3rd Floor, Catholic Institute, Floriana.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00-19:00 at the Sliema U3A Centre, St. Patrick’s School, St. John Bosco Str., Sliema.
- Wednesdays from 09:00-11:00 at the Attard U3A Centre, Centru Parrokkjali, 1st floor, Triq il-Kbira, Attard.
Wednesdays from 09:00-11:00 at the Birżebbuġa U3A Centre, Birżebbuġa Day Centre, Triq Birżebbuġa, Birżebbuġa.
Thursdays from 09:00-11:00 at the Cottonera U3A Centre, Cottonera Resource Centre, 1st floor, San Dwardu Str., Birgu.
Thursdays from 16:30-18:30 at the Mellieħa U3A Centre, Mellieħa Day Centre, Triq il-Wied, Mellieħa.
- Fridays from 09:00-11:00 at the Gozo U3A Centre, University Campus, Triq L-Imġarr, Ix-Xewkija.

- Attard U3A Centre (programme starting on Wednesday 13 October 2021): Il-Mużika u s-Sbuħija tagħha; Art: From Cave to Cathedral.
- Birżebbuġa U3A Centre (programme starting on Wednesday 13 October 2021): Il-Malti u Lingwi; Il-Wirt Arkeoloġiku tal-Gżejjer Maltin.
- Cottonera U3A Centre (programme starting on Thursday 14 October 2021): Photography for all; Kappelli u Knejjes Żgħar.
- Mellieħa U3A Centre (programme starting on Thursday 14 October 2021): Astronomy: From Astrology to Technological Discoveries; Dokumenti Qodma bil-Malti.
- Gozo U3A Centre (programme starting on Friday 15 October 2021): Some aspects of the History of Gozo and its Inhabitants; Staying Healthy in Later Years.

For those applying to attend the Floriana and Sliema U3A centres, kindly apply with Mr Joseph Said, Mr Joe Vella and Ms Simone Ellul at the Floriana U3A Centre, 3rd floor Hall, Catholic Institute, Floriana from Wednesday 22 September 2021 onwards between 09:00 and 12:00 (Monday to Thursday).
For those applying to attend the Cottonera U3A centre, kindly apply with Mr Daniel Pisani and Ms Romina Carabott at the Cottonera U3A Centre, 1st floor, Cottonera Resource Centre, San Dwardu Str., Birgu, from Wednesday 22 September 2021 onwards between 09:00 and 11:00 (Monday to Thursday).
For those applying to attend the Attard or Mellieħa U3A centres, you may wish to apply with Ms Simone Ellul on the first day of your lecture at this centre as explained below, however we strongly suggest that you still apply at the Floriana U3A centre from Wednesday 22 September 2021 between Monday and Thursday from 09:00 – 12:00 to avoid overcrowding on the first day of lecture.
For Attard, kindly apply at Attard U3A Centre, ÄŠentru Parokkjali, 1st Floor, Triq il-Kbira, Attard on Wednesday 13 October 2021 from 11:00 to 12:00 and on consecutive Wednesdays.
For Mellieħa, kindly apply at Mellieħa U3A Centre, Mellieħa Day Centre, Triq il-Wied, Mellieħa on Thursday 14 October 2021 from 18:30 to 19:30.
For B’Bugia, kindly apply with Mr Joe Vella at B’Bugia U3A Centre, Birżebbuġa Day Centre, Triq Birżebbuġa, B’Buġia on Wednesday 13 October 2021 from 11:00 to 12:00.
For those applying to attend the Gozo U3A centre, kindly apply with Ms Melissa Xuereb at the 'Care for the Elderly' (green door), Ground Floor, St Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo, from Wednesday 22 September 2021 onwards between 09:00 and 11:00 (Monday to Thursday).
