Dr Isabelle Gatt from the Department of Arts, Open Communities and Adult Education within the Faculty of Education attended the Perform, Play, Learn, Grow (PPLG) International Conference– Creating Belonging in Times of Pandemic (10-12 September 2021) where she presented her research about a community participatory theatre project with senior citizens during COVID-19.
F’Ħakka t’Għajn (in the blink of an eye) is a theatre lab project for older adults working with professionals.
This project is one of five projects led by the the University of Malta which form part of a Europe-wide research project Acting on the Margins: Arts as Social Sculpture (AMASS) that aims to bring marginalised people based in different European contexts together with artists to work collaboratively on creative and experimental research.
