The Knowledge Transfer Office participated in the on 18-19 November. The Med-tech world summit was held in Malta and highlights innovations in emerging tech for the global medical ecosystem, bringing medicine into the future through two days of insightful, data-driven content created exclusively with the medical community in mind.
The KTO hosted a booth to showcase a number of UM technologies, stemming from research at the University of Malta. The KTO is missioned to support the University in enhancing its commercial, environmental and socio-economic impact on a national and international level. We aim to facilitate the technology commercialisation process of putting new knowledge and the generated research results into practical use for the benefit of our society and industry.
In line with this, the KTO aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia, by communicating with different stakeholders, such as the industry, to highlight the university鈥檚 strengths, research orientation and potential projects. To attract potential partners, the wider community needs to be aware of what the university is doing and what opportunities exist for collaboration, and attending such conferences in the name of the University of Malta is of utmost importance.
The KTO would like to thank the Marketing and Communications Office for their support in setting up the booth and material required for the conference. We would also like to thank the UM researchers who want to make a difference with their inventions, and continuously work with our office in creating impact with these inventions.
Lastly, thank you to those who visited our booth and supported the KTO at Med-Tech!
