Dr Francesca Wirth, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pharmacy, has been appointed to serve on the Research Committee of the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP) for a four-year term. The appointment was conferred following a rigorous selection process that takes research experience into consideration.
ESCP is an international scientific society founded in 1979 by clinical practitioners, researchers, and educators from various European counties, which supports the continuous advancement of clinical pharmacy services in professional practice. ESCP encourages the development and education of clinical pharmacists in Europe, and facilitates the sharing of experiences and skills amongst clinical pharmacists on an international level.
The Research Committee aims to contribute to ESCP鈥檚 vision by enhancing knowledge through a clinical pharmacy research and innovation. It also serves as a network where researchers can develop their practical research competences, support collaborative research in topical areas pertaining to clinical pharmacy in Europe, and disseminate research outcomes.
