Prof. Luciano Mule' Stagno, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Energy (ISE) was a keynote speaker at organised by Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara Turkey between 5 - 7 July 2022. His presentation was titled: "Silicon Defects and Possible Impact on Solar Cell Efficiency". During his visit to Ankara he also had the opportunity to visit - Centre for Solar Research and Applications - an impressive research facility that has the capability of making state of the art solar cells and - a brand new 1GWp solar panel factory. ISE is starting a joint collaboration with METU - GUNAM and  Kalyon - PV to better understand the effect of silicon crystal defects on solar cell efficiency.
