The session, held on July 14, was convened by Professor Natalia Alves from the host institution, the Instituto de Educa莽茫o, Universidade de Lisboa. Also presenting in the same session, chaired by Professor Alves, were Professor Marcella Milana, from the Universit脿 di Verona and Editor of International Journal of Lifelong Education and Professor Katarina Popovic, University of Belgrade and Secretary General, International Council for Adult Education (ICAE).
Professor Mayo spoke about the impact of international entities such as UNESCO, OECD, EU and World Economic Forum on the concept of Lifelong Education/Learning, using as the title for his presentation: Lifelong Learning: the serpent under the innocent flower.
