Prof. Lino Bianco has been appointed by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Moldova to serve as a member of the jury for the international architectural design competition for the rehabilitation of the . Additional to the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova Architect Ion Budeci, other members of the jury include the former Rector of the Oslo School of Architecture and Design Ole Gustavsen, the world renowned acoustician Eckhard Kahle and the outstanding conductor Misha Katz.
Erected at 1912-1913, the 'Serghei Lunchevici' National Philharmonic Hall survived the Second World War but was devastated by a large fire in 2020 when the building was undergoing repairs in preparation to mark its 80 years from its foundation. In 2022, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova launched a competition for architectural solutions to identify a new concept for the building of the : “The goal is to build a representative building for culture, national and international music, with acoustic performances and exceptional aesthetic potential, to bring international recognition to the country”.
