In celebration of Women's Day, British High Commissioner Cathy Ward presented this year’s edition of the Women and Girls Inspirational Leadership Award to Dr Claudia Borg as a leader in the field of innovation and technology in Malta. The theme this year is in line with the United Nation’s theme for International Women’s Day “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.

The event marked the launch of the FCDO’s first Women and Girls Strategy - which puts women and girls at the heart of its work.

Claudia's work focuses on creating computational resources to process Maltese and leads a number of National and European-funded projects.

Dr Borg is a Senior Lecturer at the Artificial Intelligence Department at the Faculty of ����������� & Communication Technology (ICT) at the University of Malta.
