Two members of the University of Malta Knowledge Transfer Office, Ms Nicola Camilleri and Ms Marie Mifsud have recently been awarded the status of “RTTP”, Registered Technology Transfer Professional, the recognised international professional standard for knowledge transfer practitioners.
The recognition is awarded by the global Alliance of Technology Transfer Practitioners () following a peer-review process. It is the highest recognition in the profession and is given to professionals who can demonstrate sound competence and experience across the breadth of technology transfer, from IP commercialisation through to university business collaboration and start-up company creation.
Marie and Nicola join their colleague, Mr Andras Havasi, making it a triumphant milestone for the university as it now boasts three recognised RTTP professionals on campus. The recognition reinforces the University's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and providing support towards creating impact through university research. The expertise provided by the Knowledge Transfer team, coupled with the university's commitment to innovation, ensures its continued success in transforming research outcomes into tangible societal and economic impact on a national and international level.
