Our colleagues in Kiel were quite busy hosting two important meetings during the last week of September. The first was the Staff Week on Microcredentials and the second was the traditional Joint Programmes Working Group (JPWG), both crucial events, which were attended by Deputy Registrar and , Administration Specialist from the University of Malta, as well as other representatives of the JPWG and academics from the partner universities.
That intense week brought a promising outlook not only for the project but also for the alliance as a whole. Finally, JPWG members met in person with their counterparts to discuss administrative concerns that needed to be prioritised, and significant progress was made with regard to microcredentials, where obstacles, future challenges, and the implementation of these in joint degrees were discussed. Furthermore, one of the aims of TURQUOOOISE is to foster an inclusive and open mindset; therefore the possibility of using this study format was considered as a way to involve people who would not normally be able or willing to undertake the full Master's degree but still wish to acquire specific skills and knowledge to help them in their professional career.
