Academics and admin staff from the 9 SEA-EU partner universities met in Kiel, Germany from the 27 to the 29 of September 2023 in a combined Staff Week to discuss the implementation and administrative hurdles of creating Microcredentials and the implementation of Joint Programmes across the Alliance.
The Microcredentials Teaching Staff Week was attended by from the The Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation and Project Officer of the SEA-EU Office. In parallel, Deputy Registrar together with Administration Specialist took part in the Turquoise Joint Programme Working Group.
In regards to microcredentials specifically, the overall objective of the Alliance is to develop a series of coherent modules to implement a microcredential in sustainability studies and future skills (10-15 ECTS) for students of all levels with at least two partner universities.

Microcredentials are concise and focused training modules that allow flexibility through online and on-demand lectures, which cater especially to working students.
