A delegation from the Faculty of Education hailing from Nord University, which forms part of the , have visited the University of Malta between Tuesday 14 and Thursday 16 November 2023. Both Universities are a part of this alliance which strives to establish a European University that embraces linguistic diversity and inclusivity while continuing to maintain a commitment to excellence in education and research.
The visit was organised by the and the at the UM and concentrated on exploring opportunities for student mobility between the Faculty of Education of both institutions. The programme for the attendants included discussions with members from the International Office coordinating the SEA-EU Alliance, as well as a member from the Faculty of Education, to encourage student mobility between the two departments. Moreover, the Nord University attendants also visited two schools, St. Monica School Gzira and St. Paul鈥檚 Bay Primary School, in order to garner information regarding the structure and school management systems present in Malta.
Throughout the visit, the attendees collaborated with the coordinator of the visit , Senior Lecturer in , as well as , Senior Manager, SEA-EU, to delve into concepts regarding the possibilities presented by this alliance and consider ways in which both Universities can enhance the alliance鈥檚 visibility among their students and staff.
