Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are Teaching Programmes that involve Short-Term Physical Mobility abroad accompanied by a virtual learning component.
The SEA-EU Alliance has introduced BIPs to help SEA-EU Students and Academics collaborate, learn together and work as a team.
, Senior Lecturer at the at was invited to teach during a BIP recently hosted by the University of C谩diz.
The focus of the BIP was Blue Geomarketing. Dr Ebejer gave an overview of how tourism developed in the Mediterranean.
He also spoke about the role of urban heritage in blue tourism, with particular reference to Valletta and Malta.
The UM student participating in the BIP was Lola Mindt, also from FEMA. She had the opportunity to learn about blue tourism in different countries and on how to make tourism more sustainable. BIP participants were taken on field trips to the coastal zone of C谩diz where they learnt about Coastal Zone Management initiatives of the Municipality.
BIPs are good opportunities for students and academics to learn and to discuss relevant issues. They are also ideal for Networking and Socialising.
