Between 7 and 13 April 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy of Viko International (a higher education institution in Lithuania), Vaiva Juškienė and the Head of the Department of Education Lina Pečiulienė, visited the University of Malta, to learn more about the structure of the Faculty and its priorities.
The lecturers had meetings with Prof. Carmel Borg, Head of the Department of Arts, Open Communities and Adult Education, who is a long-term partner of the Faculty of Pedagogy, a visiting lecturer and an honorary member of VIKO community, as well as with Prof. Colin Calleja, Dean of the Faculty of Education.
The educational situation and challenges in both Malta and Lithuania were discussed throughout these meetings.
Lecturer Lina Pečiulienė delivered a training session organised by the Malta Education Research Review in cooperation with the Malta Early Childhood Education Association, titled ‘A Family Literacy Tool for Early Literacy Development’, which was well attended by early childhood educators, programme trainers and partners.
