Prof. Ádám Cziboly, from HVL (Høgskolen på Vestlandet) in Bergen, Norway, visited the University of Malta at the invitation of Prof. Isabelle Gatt from the Department of Arts, Open Communities, and Adult Education within the Faculty of Education. He delivered a series of captivating lectures and practical workshops on process drama, sparking enthusiasm among Master's students following the MTL (Master in Teaching and Learning) Drama Education and the MA SPACE (Social Practice Arts and Critical Education), as part of their applied theatre modules. Students following an optional credit in Theatre and Youth were also present.
While collaborative efforts and exchange have been in place between Isabelle Gatt and staff from HVL for a decade, this was the first time Prof. Cziboly visited, adding a fresh perspective to the relationship between the two institutions. Over the past decade, the exchange programme has been a source of inspiration for students and academics, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration in both universities. Prof. Cziboly's expertise further solidifies this bond, providing invaluable insights into process drama.
Students eagerly participated in Prof. Cziboly's practical sessions, gaining hands-on experience and delving into the intricacies of process drama. His lectures were met with rapt attention as he shared his wealth of knowledge and practical techniques. This visit took place just a week prior to Prof. Isabelle Gatt's forthcoming trip to HVL, furthering the ongoing exchange between the two institutions.
