Mr Rodrick Zerafa, a European Studies and Communications graduate from the University of Malta, was appointed as the CEO of SEM – Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta.
Zerafa has previously held a number of roles within the Government of Malta, notably as the Spokesperson for the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade.
Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta (SEM) serves as a conduit for EU funds in Malta and Gozo, facilitating access for citizens and organisations to these funds. The establishment of SEM was formalised as per Public Administration Act (Cap. 595) through Legal Notice 445 of 2020 (S.L. 595.23).
Among recent initiatives that SEM has worked upon recently, there’s CORALLO, promoting more awareness about Natura2000 sites, and Ċittadini Ewropej, an initiative encouraging participation in the proposition of EU laws.
