On 8 and 9 May 2024, doctoral students from the French Subject Area of the Department of Languages and Humanities in Education within the Faculty of Education and the Department of French within the Faculty of Arts had the opportunity to present their research at the Young Researchers’ International Conference (Doctoriales Internationales), centred around the theme of “Scientific Research of/in the Third Millenium”, and hosted by the École Supérieure de l’Éducation et de la Formation of the Université Ibn Tofaïl in Kenitra, Morocco.
During this endeavour, UM students not only shared their work with local and international peers, but also engaged with experts in scientific research across the fields of Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Didactics and Literature from 14 countries spanning three continents (Europe, America and Africa). This exposure provided students with invaluable insights, constructive feedback and networking opportunities on an international scale.
The UM’s involvement in this event was endorsed by Dr Anne-Marie Bezzina Busuttil from the Department of French of the Faculty of Arts, and organised and coordinated by Ms Anna Scicluna from the Department of Languages and Humanities of the Faculty of Education.
