The Master鈥檚 in Translation and Terminology Studies course of the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies (Faculty of Arts) has been selected for membership of the European Master鈥檚 in Translation (EMT) network for the period 2024-2029.
EMT is a quality label for MA university programmes in Translation awarded by the Directorate-General of Translation of the European Commission to higher education programmes that meet agreed professional standards and market requirements. The prestigious label had already been awarded to the course for the period 2018-2023.
EMT members hold regular network meetings to exchange best practices and to cooperate on concrete projects to foster innovation in their curricula and teaching methods, and to collaborate with the industry to keep up to date with the latest developments regarding issues such as tools and technology, traineeships and employers' expectations.
The Master鈥檚 in Translation and Terminology Studies is a three-semester course offering a set of core study units and three specialisation streams, namely audiovisual translation, technical translation and literary translation.
