During the month of October 2024, Dr Alexander Farrugia from the Department of Mathematics, , acted as supervisor for Miriam Abdón, a guest researcher from the Instituto de Matemática e EstatÃstica, Universidade Federal Fluminense, Niterói, Brazil. Dr Farrugia was contacted by the Brazilian Spectral Graph Theory group so that Dr Abdón can work under his supervision during her guest visit at the University of Malta. Prof. Irene Sciriha from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Malta, also supervised Dr Abdón’s research.
