Recently-graduated with a Master’s Degree, Elena lectures at the Department of Digital Arts and is a writer for the University’s Research Magazine, .
At 26 years old, she has already gotten used to being part of the University of Malta community.
Interesting to note is Elena’s thesis, which touches upon the topic of over-construction.
As we all know, over-construction is a pressing issue in Malta – so Elena created an installation for viewers to reflect on the matter.
She used machine-vision technology to detect cranes in photographs of the Maltese landscape.
She believes art can make issues such as the one tackled by her more accessible to a wider audience and more emotionally impactful.
