As part of the initiatives under the SEA-EU Alliance framework, the University of C谩diz (UCA) hosted a Staff Week for library professionals from 12 to 16 May 2025. The event held at the UCA Library, offered participants a valuable opportunity to engage in a diverse range of enriching experiences.
Representing the University of Malta Library, Ms Kylie Borg, and Ms Stephanie Formosa took part in the programme and contributed to the exchange of professional knowledge and practices. They presented an overview of the University of Malta Library鈥檚 services and resources to the international audience.
The programme commenced with an introductory session on the UCA Library, offering an overview of its structure and services as the host institution. Throughout the week, attendees visited several of its campus libraries, including the Health Science Library, the Historical Library, and those located at the Puerto Real, Jerez, Algeciras, and Humanities campuses. These visits provided valuable insights into the diverse facilities and services offered by the various UCA campus libraries.
Beyond the professional programme, participants also enjoyed a guided tour of the city of C谩diz, which deepened their appreciation for its rich historical and cultural background. The week also featured presentations from representatives of the participating libraries, creating a platform for sharing experiences, best practices, and innovative ideas.
Participation was coordinated by the SEA-EU Office at UM and supported by the International Office via the Erasmus+ funding.
The week concluded with a presentation on the SEA-EU Alliance, which highlighted promising opportunities for future collaboration and partnerships among the institutions involved.
