The Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy hosted a group of 22 students from Paris-Saclay University last week and discussed postgraduate courses amongst which the upcoming International MBA.
The University of Paris-Saclay is ranked in the top 50 of the World鈥檚 best Universities according to the Shanghai Ranking in 11 disciplines. The University hosts over 24,000 undergraduate students and currently represents 13% of France鈥檚 research potential.
The group of 22 students that visited Malta is following courses in management and supply chain logistics at Paris-Saclay and they were in Malta on a familiarisation visit.
The students started their day at the University of Malta by participating in a lecture on 福利在线免费 Marketing delivered by Dr Joe Schembri. The class, made up of groups of local and French students analysed a case study and discussed issues of globalised services marketing.
Following the lecture, the group was welcomed by the Dean of Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, Dr Emanuel Said. The Dean explained the role of the Faculty in the preparation of future managers and leaders and gave an overview of the courses and research currently being undertaken by the FEMA.
Dr Mario Cassar from the University鈥檚 Marekting, Communication & Alumni Office gave a presentation on Malta as a destination for post-graduate studies and research and explained the international experience that the University of Malta already has.
Dr Franco Curmi presented the Master of Science programmes, both the one on Digital Marketing as well as that on Strategic Management and Marketing.
The students were introduced to the new International MBA being designed by the Faculty, by Dr Nathaniel Massa and Dr Joe Schembri. Expected to be available next year, the International MBA will be a practitioner-oriented programme for managers and leaders, grounded in academic research but applied to the changing dynamic of modern day commercial and other organisations. 
The students also visited a number of Malta-based companies as part of their visit.
