The target of identifying at least 3 Good Practice Examples on Sustainable Tourism for Decarbonisation in Malta within the Interreg Europe DETOCS Project has been superseded. Five diverse examples addressed different aspects: support programmes for guesthouses, renewable energy applications in hotels, development and monitoring tourism sustainable indicators, applying eco-certification and promoting sustainability awards have been endorsed by the Interreg Europe Programme and published on the database.
Two entities from Malta, the University of Malta (technical partner) and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Tourism (policy partner) are partners in the project.
Prof. In摹. Charles Yousif from the Institute for Sustainable Energy, together with Dr Anne Marie Thake from the Department of Policy, Politics & Governance and In摹.
