Prof. Michael Briguglio is Associate Professor within the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts and a Committee Member of the University Maritime Platform.
Prof. Briguglio's research interests include political sociology, social movements, maritime sociology, environmental sociology and social policy.
As a sociologist within the University Maritime Platform, Prof. Briguglio feels he can contribute to help understanding maritime issues from a social dimension perspective; these issues are related to the blue economy, maritime governance, as well as coastal societies.
Prof. Briguglio also believes that strong science communication can help evidence-based policy making.
