Registration to the first STEAM Summer School in Science Communication are still open. Coordinated by University of Malta, STEAM innovatively marries science and art in science communication practice. The 10-day programme offers a unique experience in science communication training. It covers the main aspects of science communication including journalism, social media, policy, management, arts, and science theatre. The workshop will be a fully immersive experience on science communication theory and practice, and no previous communication experience is required.
You will be able to experiment with a number of ways to engage various public groups with scientific research. You will have a chance to improve your writing, speaking, and other transferable skills for career development. This could be the beginning of an international cooperation where educational materials and already established practices are shared, or it could be your start into a career in science communication.
