The 3rd International convention of scientists, specialist employees and students on the topic of Environmental protection in the Republic of Croatia (3rd ZORH convention) will be held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Split 28-29 April 2022.
Unlike the previous two ZORH conventions, this year's 3rd ZORH convention will have an international character. The third ZORH convention is being organized by students from the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology of Split in cooperation with the Student section of the Croatian society of chemical engineers and technologists.
The goal of the 3rd ZORH convention is to connect the academic community with the industry. To date, this convention has gathered more than 100 participants from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year's 3rd ZORH convention is expanding from the original regional framework and is aiming to become a place for gathering, exchanging
viewpoints/experience and establishing cooperation between participants from different colleges, institutes and industries from various European countries.
The ZORH convention is an assembly for exchanging ideas, presenting new technologies and achievements in the field of environmental protection and for discussing key problems regarding environmental protection. The function of the convention will be realised thorough oral and poster presentations.
The exchange of experience, presentation of current accomplishments and lectures given by students, exceptional scientists and experts during the convention are some of the best ways to spread information and help raise awareness concerning the protection of the environment. The convention will incorporate following themes:
- Collection and disposal of solid waste
- Waste-water treatment methods
- Sea pollution
- Soil quality analysis and methods for the purification of pesticide-treated soil
- Air quality
- Waste as a resource
- Endangered species in Nature parks and National parks
- New technologies and techniques in environment protection
- Microplastics
- The impact of COVID-19 crisis on environment protection
You can participate and join through an oral or poster lecture. Registration fee for early sign-ups (up 14 March) will be 70 EUR, while late signups will total 100 EUR.
Undergraduate and graduate students will be exempt of the registration fee.
