The Office for Human Resources Management & Development, in collaboration with the Research Support 福利在线免费 Directorate, will be offering two training refresher sessions for UM staff:
- Management of Lab Equipment in the Fixed Asset module in AIMS
- Hazardous Chemical Waste management
Trainer: Mr Pierre Micallef - Laboratory Manager
Target Audience: Primarily all currently registered as well as newly assigned Responsible Persons (RP) and Maintenance staff Leaders (MSL) managing the Asset Inventory module for laboratory equipment within their own divisions. All laboratory and technical staff are also invited to attend.

Session overview
During the session the following topics will be covered:
- whole process in the life cycle of a fixed asset for Lab Equipment from Purchase Requisition till write-off
- explanation of the different fields in the asset inventory module under the responsibilities of RPs and MSLs
- generating reports and filtering of data for laboratory equipment
- time for Q&As.

Session overview
During the session the following topics will be covered:
- brief update on current legislation and obligation when disposing chemical waste
- brief update on the last chemical waste collection campaign in 2022
- detailed walk through on the new process of correct documentation management that is required by RPs
- time for Q&As.
NB: Anyone who interested for either or both sessions but cannot make it on any of the two assigned dates is still being recommended to and ask to be placed on the waiting list. Our office will keep you informed of any future training sessions being organised.
