The Office for Human Resources Management & Development in collaboration with the Office of the Pro-Rector for Student & Staff Affairs and Outreach, will be offering a training course on equity, diversity and inclusion for UM staff. This training will be delivered by the UM Equity Coordinator, Marcelle Bugre Zanya.

NB: In order to successfully complete this course you will need to attend all three sessions. Furthermore, please note that this course will be limited to a very small number of participants. Therefore we kindly advise you to register at your earliest.
What is the meaning of equity, diversity and inclusion? Why is it important to have equity and diversity at the place of work? What are the benefits of having an inclusive organisational culture? And how can we build this culture together?
The course will consist of interactive sessions, with a short break at mid-interval. It will facilitate the exploration of these concepts in relation to:
- Defining a safe and motivating working environment;
- Building confidence and assertiveness;
- Identifying and addressing prejudice and stigma.
