The Research Management Committee of Akita International University (AIU) invites abstracts from faculty members at our international partner universities who wish to share their current and past research with our University and the broader higher education community.
AIU’s annual Research Showcase is a venue for researchers to share their ongoing research and recent findings with the campus and wider community. Since 2022, we have opened the event to presenters from our partner universities to strengthen existing research connections and to foster new collaborative research in areas of mutual interest.
The event will be held online and accepted presentations will be shared through AIU’s website and official Research Showcase YouTube channel, as per presenters’ preferences. Presentations
will take the form of pre-recorded video files which will be shared within the AIU community and our network of over 200 partner institutions in 52 countries and regions.
Requirements for submitting your abstract:
- 1. Please complete all fields in the no later than Sunday, August 31, 2025 (Japan Time).
- 2. Abstracts must be in English.
- 3. The following information must be included on the submission:
b. Your current appointment & affiliated university
c. Daytime telephone number
d. Current email address
e. All co-authors names, titles, and affiliations
- 4. By submitting your abstract, you are confirming that all co-authors have approved the submission, and they agree to your research being presented at AIU’s Research Showcase event and appearing on the University website.
- 5. The abstract should be approximately 300 words not including title, authors, declarations, etc.
- 6. The abstract should not contain bibliographic references, tables or appendices.
All submissions will be subject to a selection process based on the information requested above. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may not be selected for presentation.
Presenters will be notified of their results and next steps on Monday, September 22, 2025.
There are no restrictions on academic fields for participation. We highly encourage submissions from researchers who would like to build connections or establish collaborative projects with AIU faculty members in the future!
