Opening hours
As the exam period ends, the Library returns to its usual opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 12:15
The Main Library and all branches are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

New exhibition at the Library
Get a glimpse into the life story of Anne Frank. The University of Malta Library in collaboration with is hosting the exhibition, Let Me Be Myself - The Life Story of Anne Frank, which shows the story of Anne Frank from her birth in 1929 up to her death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. The exhibition will run until 21 March 2024, at the UM Library during the opening hours. Entrance is free.
Archives & Rare Books
New additions to Prof. Mario Buhagiar's bequest.
This special collection is continuing to grow thanks to Prof. Buhagiar's generous donations which cover a wealth of topics that will most certainly prove to be a treasured resource to a wide range of researchers. The latest donations include landmark publications on Maltese language and linguistics by Gużè Aquilina, Joseph Brincat and Karm Fenech, together with works on Maltese poetry by Oliver Friggieri and Karmenu Vassallo, among other items of interest.

News from the Institute for European Studies Library - book donation
Mr Mark Vella from the European Commission Representation in Malta presented 27 academic books to the Institute's Director Professor Mark Harwood and to the Institute's Librarian Stefan Bezzina. Ranging from foreign policy, law, climate, European integration and economy, among other topics, these books will add to the growing collection of specialized academic books that are housed at the Institute's Library.

What's new in Melitensia
Melitensia's Resource of the month – February 2024

This book explores various fantasy characters from Maltese culture, reviving them from the confines of oral tradition. Its primary goal is to establish an iconography of these fantastical figures within Maltese cultural context.
