Festalingwi is an annual one-day festival dedicated to linguistic diversity and cultural exchange. Co-organised by the European Commission Representation in Malta and the University of Malta, the festival offers a jam-packed programme of language lessons, discussions, activities and entertainment.
This event is held to mark the European Day of Languages which is celebrated annually on 26 September and aims to promote language learning, cultural exchange, and intercultural understanding among people of all ages and backgrounds.
This year the event organised in Malta will be held on 19 October at the University of Malta’s Valletta Campus and admission is free of charge.
The activities at festalingwi 2025 commence at 11:00. The festival highlight is the concert, 摩oss il-Malti, from 19:00 to 22:30 in the Valletta Campus Theatre.
