- Alexander Micallef and Cyril Spiteri Staines attended the 13th Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion, Valletta, Malta. Cyril Spiteri Staines presented the paper "Analysis and Optimisation of Battery Storage Systems for mitigation of the effect of PV and EV on the Maltese Islands Electrical Network".

- Alexander Micallef was one of the invited guest speakers at the National Energy Conference 2022 co-organised by the Energy and Water Agency and the Institute for Sustainable Energy (University of Malta). Alexander Micallef shared the 'Battery storage' session with Gert Meylemans from EUROBAT - Association of European Automotive and Industrial Battery Manufacturers as well as Tonio Sant and Robert Camilleri from the University of Malta. He gave a presentation on the "Impact of Renewable energy sources on Power Systems".
