And other forthcoming events by the Edward de Bono Institute
Since 2022, after the passing of the Father of Literal Thinking, Prof. Edward de Bono, the Edward de Bono Institute has been hosting the Edward de Bono Memorial Lecture on an annual basis.
In the meantime, there are two other forthcoming events that are an integral part of the Institute’s yearly calendar, namely:
- World Creativity and Innovation Week (WCIW) – celebrated globally from 15 to 21 April each year. The Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation and UM annually participates in the WCIW celebrations, often collaborating with various organisations.
WCIW has been recognised yearly for the past two decades, growing in participation across numerous countries Its purpose is to promote new ideas and cultivate an environment that supports creativity and innovation. In 2018, the UN acknowledged 21 April as World Creativity and Innovation Day, marking it as a Day of Observance. This was done to motivate people to apply creative solutions to problems, particularly those hindering the achievement of the 2015 Sustainable Development Goals. Within this context, Dr Margaret Mangion is the ambassador for WCIW/D in Malta. She organises a series of events to mark this week annually.
- Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) - In November, countless young individuals worldwide participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Ever since GEW started in 2008, The Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation, has been the designated National Host in Malta for this occasion. Working alongside various partner organisations, the institute has consistently organised a range of engaging activities as part of this worldwide entrepreneurship festivity.
