Prof. Richey is the Harbert Eminent Scholar in supply chain management and Research Director at the Centre for Supply Chain Innovation. His role is to help advance supply chain management research and outreach in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University.
He is widely cited and has made significant contributions to the academic community through research and publications. The guest lecture followed an earlier meeting with the Faculty Dean, Dr Emmanuel Said and academics from the Department of Marketing.
Prof. Richey started the presentation by discussing his current research and the state of logistics, supply chain, and marketing industries, particularly with a lens on the learning from the Covid-19 pandemic. The lecture provided valuable insights and perspectives on a wide range of topics, including the impact of technology on these fields and the importance of sustainability and ethical practices.
After the presentation, Prof. Richey took questions from the class and provided in-depth answers and insights on various topics, including recommendations for conducting cutting-edge research in this field. Many students were left with a newfound appreciation for the complexity and importance of logistics, supply chain, and marketing.
