On Monday 24 April 2023 representatives of the Italian institutions in Malta met students from the Institute of European Studies and from the Faculty of Education. This initiative, organised by Prof. Sandro Caruana (Department of Languagers & Humanities in Education) served the purpose of illustrating the importance of the relationships between Malta and Italy, cultural affinities between the two countries and presenting students with information regarding job opportunities and further studies.
The Italian institutional representatives who intervened were the Deputy Head of Mission from the Italian Embassy, Dr Andrea Varischetti; the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Dr Serena Alessi, the Secretary General of the Italo Maltese Chamber of Commerce, Dr Enry Di Giovanni, and two representatives from the Italian Military Mission in Malta, Commander Alessandro Rinaldi and Tenente Colonnello Angelo Mosca.
