The Malta University Sports Club, the University's longest standing organisation, has gloriously kicked off the 2023/2024 season with a big win.
Scoring three goals versus the one by rivals Panthers on Sunday 24 September 2023, MUSC secured the win thanks to last year's league top scorer, Michele Sansone, and players Tommy Camilleri and Liam Grech respectively.
The MUSC team consisted of Luke Grech, Ferry (Padovani) Mifsud, Socaciu (Calleja) Gatt Baldacchino, Fenech Adami (C), Liam Grech, Camilleri Randon, Cutajar, Barthet (Mifsud) and Sansone.
Also of note is that one of the scorers Liam Grech has just commenced his MUSC career in style, with a well taken shot from a corner during the first half. He joined MUSC after several years in the MFA Challenge League with Luxol St Andrews. Another recent signing is Chris Cutajar, former Pieta Hotspurs and Mqabba player.
"It feels so good to be back, and it feels even better to win. Let's go boys, we are all behind you!", said a recent Facebook post.
The University augurs them a successful, record-breaking season.
